When will I know if my film is selected?
Results are announced monthly. You will be notified directly — and you can always track the status of your project in your FilmFreeway account.
Do you award more than films?
Yes — acting, writing, cinematography, editing and composing for film music are awarded in every monthly edition, alongside the film categories.
My film is not in English or German. Can I still submit?
Absolutely. Any foreign film just needs English or German subtitles.
Can I submit an unproduced script?
Yes — both short and feature unproduced scripts have their own categories.
How do I get my laurels?
Laurels are sent together with the notification email after each monthly edition. If anything is missing, write to info@hamburgindiefest.com.
